Welcome to Campo. Translated that means welcome to the safest place in the country. We have a group of people dedicated to sharing this place. We know that everyone needs some help along th e way.

We are a DD Waiver service provider, and have ten years of succesful experience that provides us with a community of people who have experienced behavior and/or emotional issues that help each other in the process. We have a stable body of staff that have been trained to assit as people grow and learn.

Since it's creation in 2001, Campo Behavioral Health has built a solid foundation for serving folks with developmental disabilities, specializing in support to those who also experience significant behavioral challenges. Several people have been accurately diagnosed with physical and mental health conditions, leading to the appropriate medication and nutritional regimen, fewer behavioral incidents and hospitalizations, and ultimately decreased level of care. Some who previously received intensive staffing now enjoy freedom and independence with time on their own.

Research tells us that people who are socially excluded have more stress, are ill more often and die sooner. Those with more social support are healthier, happier and live longer. This is why Campo concentrates on promoting friendships and associations with community members and organizations outside of the service system. Support staff at Campo are more than caretakers, they are community connectors.

Campo's pursuit in transforming the lives of people in service involves exploring their personal gifts, interests and values and discovering opportunities to contribute and connect in the community. It is not only about helping people become who they want to be, but also what they want to be a part of.
